Summary/Abstract: The United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Administration (UNRRA) started operating in the territory of Yugoslavia on 15 April 1945, when its Belgrade office was established. On 1 August 1945 a regional office for Slovenia was also opened in Ljubljana. UNRRA aided Slovenia and Yugoslavia especially by providing material supplies like food, clothes and machinery in order to start up the industrial and agrarian sectors. The UNRRA activities in Yugoslavia were mostly successful, even though a few disagreements with the Yugoslav authorities occurred. The Yugoslav mission concluded its operations on 10 June 1947.
