Summary/Abstract: In this paper, we present some issues linked to therapy that seem important from the philosophical point of view. After some basic remarks concerning the problem of the therapist-patient relationship we discuss the philosophical pre- suppositions of three models of therapy: biomedical, humanistic and holistic. Each of them is based on different respective philosophical positions. Next, we try to examine whether the deconstruction of these assumptions may be relevant for contemporary representatives of the practical health sciences.
