Summary/Abstract: The feminine characters created by Radu Tudoran are among the most interesting from the Romanian literature. His characters are easily recognisable due to the elements which singularize them, such as their strong affinity with the natural elements, the everpresent connection between love, sensuality and innocence or the ineffable loneliness which envelops all the female characters. Particularly interesting are the characters from the novels Flăcările, Maria și marea or Dunărea revărsată, not because of a remarkable artistic value, this not being the case, but due to some particularities which make them either flat as charaters (Maria especially), or intriguing through their aspirations and their behaviour (Copila or Ana Odeta).
