Summary/Abstract: Caught up between mythology and biography, Octavian Paler questioned the purpose of life and death, dressed up the solitude’s garments and investigated the need of the inner self. Split up by his desires to live the life yet to analyze it, he was tormented as well by the urge to redesign the inner self through doubts, fears, hopes and ideals – all of this in order to find out how it is built up a destiny and which its characteristics are.
