Summary/Abstract: The book of poems „Caiete vechi și sentimentale” include, from the words of the poet, „attempts youth, strictly personal use, (...) read only by friends and, sometimes, by close acquaintances...” Although preparation and career are of a writer, „beginnings melancholy” induces Costache Olăreanu to throwing from time to time „an eye toward to old notebooks of poems”. Despite their effect „back times”, the writer find in these, in the moments of „innocence”, wich they contain, a veritable source of refreshing and revitalizing, necessary to himself „at least from times to times”.
