Summary/Abstract: The following contribution presents the attitudes of the Slovenian political parties in the period between 1918 and 1929 towards the social and health issues, especially the position of women (mothers) and children. Despite the ideological-political differences the parties of all three traditional ideological-political camps – Catholic, liberal and socialist – strived for a more just society, which would ensure an efficient system of social and health protection, also of women and children.
