Summary/Abstract: This paper follows a careful analysis of the volume of Mihai Zamfir: A Short History. Alternative Panoramic View Of The Romanian Literature. In the first part of the paper we will focus on an analysis of the content of the book, the new theories and the interpretatives perspectives propose by the researcher about Romanian literature. In the second part we will analyze the valence of the adjective "short" in relation to a literary history and we will put in parallel the volume of Mihai Zamfir with the literary histories proposed by G. Calinescu and Nicolae Manolescu. Written in a modern form, the short history of Mihai Zamfir combines a minimal critical apparatus in order of focusing on originals opinions, simple and concrete, not shown in large pages which might get bored or lose you in information.
