POINTS OF VIEW OF HOW A SOFT PROGRAMME CAN FACILITATE THE ORGANIZATION AND COMMUNICATION IN A SPORT COMPETITION

Summary/Abstract: Informatics has won an important place in physical education and sport field. Nowadays, the computer helps the specialist to keep, choose, remake, analyse and integrate multidisciplinary information so that he can take the best decisions for driving of the training and attending the competition. But informatics is not reduced to these aspects. It has a lot of other applications what are permitted the interdisciplinary team to obtain the best efficiency in its activities. In this context, the paper proposes to show how a competition can be organized with the help of computer and a special soft – Games Management System (GMS). It is a programme used by Special Olympics International and Special Olympics Romania, too.
