Summary/Abstract: Based on mapping resources, satellite images, analysis of orthophotoplans and field research, this paper presents the methodology that led to the discovery a fortified settlement at Cervenia, south-central Walachia, close to the confluence of the Vedea and Teleorman rivers. Archaeological evidence indicates that it is most likely an Iron Age fortress (dating to the Hallstatt and Geto-Dacian epoch).
