THEORETICAL AND AXIOLOGICAL FOUNDATIONS OF STANISŁAW OSSOWSKI’S SOCIOLOGY

Summary/Abstract: The article aims at reconstruction of theoretical viewpoint assumptions of S. Ossowski’s sociology. It is carried out by means of the analysis of 1) postulated realized functions of social studies, 2) peculiarities of social studies, 3) presentation of his critics of empirical sociology inspired by neo-positivist philosophy. The author of the article also attempts to depict validity of Ossowski’s concept in the context of problem situation of contemporary humanistic studies.
