Summary/Abstract: The Mediterranean is a vast area with a variety of cultures. Albania, belonging to a South-East European, Mediterranean and Balkan identity, has also a distinct and considerable cultural diversity. A Mediterranean Musical identity would not be complete without the people who have originated and inhabited in the Adriatic zone, the Albanians. This identity shares many common features with the other peoples of the Mediterranean area, such as Greeks, Turks, Arabs, Croats, South Italians and beyond.
