Effectiveness of pro-innovation services provided within the systemic project carried out by the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development

Summary/Abstract: The article attempts to empirically assess the effectiveness of selected elements of the existing system of technology transfer and knowledge commercialization in Poland. The survey results show that public support offered in the form of grants subsidizing the costs of pro-innovation services within the framework of Activity 5.2 of Operational Programme Innovative Economy distorted in some sense the market mechanisms concentrating on the delivery of technology audit services among the beneficiaries of the system managed by the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development and in practice effectively excluding non-beneficiaries from the possibility to provide technology audit services on the market, and at the same time moving their interests into other areas of support provided to enterprises.
