Employee competencies and organizational effectiveness

Summary/Abstract: The article consists of an introduction and two thematically related areas. It is an attempt to present the nature of the terms ‘’employee competencies’’ and ‘’organizational effectiveness’’ and to show the strong influence one has on the other. The author aimed to show that competencies are not just documents and qualification certificates, but also experience, skills, knowledge, commitment, loyalty, attitude, inner motivation and psychophysical features of employees. If an employer considers the above, creates right work conditions and stimulates work motivation, it can influence the organizational effectiveness.
