Data Inconsistency in Relational DBMS

Summary/Abstract: The identification of incorrect data and timely cleaning of critical and important part of it is not only necessity, but in most cases recurrent mandatory process, inextricably bound up with the maintenance of the database management system (DBMS). The data quality depends not only on the type of data and the way it is being entered in the database, but it also depends on the way we store and process the data. In this article are discussed the main types of incorrect data, the reasons for its generation and the basic types of prevention and correction. An application for formalization and correction of data in Bulgarian language is described as well as the advantages and disadvantages of this type of solutions.
