Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this article is to offer a compared analysis of the ways in which Canadian author, Margaret Atwood and American novelist, Suzanne Collins, perceive and transpose into literature a series of important issues such as space, war and survival. It uncovers different events from their lives and emphasis their impact over the works of these writers showing above all their extraordinary ability of processing and readjusting reality and fiction.
