Securities market in Ukraine: retrospective of formation and priorities of development

Summary/Abstract: The main stages of development of securities market in the world were discussed. The features of market functioning during the Soviet period were analyzed. The periodization of development of securities market in Ukraine during the independence period using structural and functional approach was implemented. The high value for the development of the securities market by releasing in 1995 Privatization Property Certificates were found which destroyed the foundations of the development of financial activity of population and contributed to the development of monopolized economy. The statistical analysis of development of market was conducted and priorities of development for the progressive raise of financial resources were proposed.
