Summary/Abstract: In Maniusřs poetry, the profane is converted into sacred, through a process that is inverted in comparison to the other poets of the epoch. The poet accomplishes a Ŗresemantization of the patternsŗ based on magic and superstitions, which he finds in the celestial model and the mystery of the depths. His sight does not ascend towards the heavens but descends into the ground, seeking the sacred. The symbolic titles sustain Adrian Maniuřs image of the worlds.
