Summary/Abstract: This article is about digital art and the ongoing interest towards this technique manifested by Romanian contemporary artists even though a big percentage of the art production in Romania is still very much anchored in the classical art making. This Post Postmodern aspect of artistic production is actually very illustrative for the Romanian contemporary art, which is oscillating between old and new, classical and modern, analog and digital, stating that the almighty power of “copy and paste” becomes useless when dealing with pencil and paper, or when the high-end digitally produced works become ephemeral as opposed to the traditionally hand worked pieces. Furthermore, my intention with the following research is not just to underline the development of digital art in Europe and United States of America in the last decades, but to create a basis of knowledge for my students, as part of a larger study that I previously developed.
