Summary/Abstract: The accession of Poland to the Euro Zone is a necessary, strategic condition, causing far-reaching consequences for the economy as a whole, but also for individual market participants. The purpose of this article is to show the nature of the commercial activity of small and medium size enterprises (SMEs) in the context of the impact of Polish accession to the euro zone trade with third countries and EU Member State. The analysis goal is to indicate if the introduction of common currency affects the size of SMEs’ trade with the countries of the European Union, the Schengen area and the euro area.
