Summary/Abstract: Ministry of Education of the Kingdom of the Serbs, Croats and Slovenes/Yugoslavia promoted a cult of a perfect educator and put the pressure to bear upon teachers to behave according to the idealized social and political image of them. Educational and police authorities' controlled political opinions and private lives of teachers, punishing even those who had been victims of backward views of the community. Political and moral correctness had been and remained the crucial component of which it was expected that teachers would make an ideal type of an obedient Yugoslav citizen.
