Summary/Abstract: One of the most interesting monographs in Polish about Mircea Eliade and his scientific work is Zdzisław Pawlak's book, entitled «The philosophical interpretation of the Mircea Eliadeřs concept of religion». In this book, Pawlak exposes the role of two fundamental categories, sacrum and profanum, and analyzes them from the perspective of philosophy of religion. He is interested in the timeless and universal character of religious structures in Eliade's view, in religious experience of human being in symbolic, mythical and archetypal aspects, and in the archaic view of reality as that of a sacred reality. From these analyzes, Pawlak gets down to the research on existential dimension of eliadism, paying attention to the anthropological conditions of this interpretation of religions and presenting the concept of homo religiosus. The purpose of the book is to present the metaphysical premises of structure and religion in the concept of religion. In our work we seek to present the structure and the analysis of this book, as well as raising the issues explored by Zdzisław Pawlak, a Polish philosopher who tried to interpret Eliadeřs philosophical view of religions.
