Summary/Abstract: ŗUn burgtheater provincialŗ is the first novel of Livius Ciocârlie and it is unique in the Romanian literature area, first of all because it was written as a nonfictional book according to a personal formula. The writer belives that the value of a book is found in its expressive character therefore his work is based on real events and persons, allowing documents, letters and pages of the diary to replace a fictional plot. We consider this book as being part of the second creative paradigm of the authorřs work, the one that includes the experimental creations. Knowing that his intention is to offer through each book new perspectives of writing style, literary expression or themes, we conclude that his first nonfiction novel wasnřt entirely understood by the critics and remained yet unknown or wrongly seen as implementing the formulas of textual literature.
