Summary/Abstract: The relation between social-historical attested truth and fiction, fruit of subjectivity, in the biography of a world-renowned personality is extremely hard to pinpoint, especially if the author of such a creation is not so much a historiographer (yet a journalist!), as a talented fictional writer. When the biography regards a famous writer, with a life enveloped in esoteric and imbued with experiences which few mortals have undergone (electroshocks, drugs, initiation into Satanism, afterwards into spiritualism etc.), that particular biography has the effect of enhancing the mystery and, by keeping it so, of inviting to reflections, assumptions, meditation and a genuine literary feast. This is the case of A Warriorřs Life, by Fernando Morais, an exquisite book, paradoxically situated at the border of metaliterature, paraliterature and fictional literature, due to the informational content, backed up by testimonies and documents which prove its authenticity, as well as to the pleasure of documentation and the ineffable delight particular to such a high-class artistic product.
