Summary/Abstract: The article is a brief analysis of the principle of sustainable development. Sustainable development is a concept imposed recently admitting economic development, modification strategies must take into account the ecological limits. Sustainable development is seen in the basic treaties of the European Union, both as a goal of Environmental Policy and Action as a principle within the internal market.
