Summary/Abstract: The issue of computerization of archival service in Bosnia and Herzegovina is one of the most popular questions of archival profession in the country. In the era of computerization archival service is a needed for modernization and accelerating the process of archival work, but also faster and easier access to computerization. The need for information and the right for them have directed the development of archival science in a new direction. Promotion, representation and presentation of archival material have a new position in the overall archival service in which the main role is given to information systems. What is the state of computerization in the archives of Bosnia and Herzegovina and what are its prospects, is the question, according to global trends, now should be in the focus of the archival profession in country. However, whether modern archivistics of Bosnia and Herzegovina keeps with the modern world or do not, is a question that this paper will try to give some clarifications.
