Summary/Abstract: The article presents chosen aspects of idea of progress, which was developed by Zofia Daszyska-Goliska (1866–1938). According to her vision, the idea of social progress is axiological and anthropological motivation and justification for making many social reforms. She believed that a human being is the most important goal of every social change. Moreover, the elites, in order to be recognized, should be connected with subjective aspect of work as a praxeological category, and should influence on positive development of human kind.
