Summary/Abstract: The study reviews the literature on managerial findings on the region, integrates common themes andcharts out future directions. The review was conducted through a systematic database search and synthesis ofrelevant articles. Our findings show limited managerial and organizational research on Sub-Saharan Africa in toptier journals. However, the past ten years have seen a surge in articles on the region. Challenges of doingresearch in the region are discussed and areas that are yet to be explored highlighted.
