INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS FOR ECDL TESTING SYSTEM ON THE INTERNET

Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the situation of Lithuanian computer-based digital literacy skills testing system. Conceptual architecture of the system is analyzed, the most important modules described and some places where reengineering or improvement of the system is needed are discovered. In order to enhance question delivery Item Response Theory and Computerbased test delivery methods (Computer Fixed Tests, Automated Test Assembly, Linear On-The-Fly Tests, Computerized Classifi cation Tests and Computerized Adaptive Tests) are analyzed and described. The new question generation process based on diffi culty and profession criteria is suggested.
