Summary/Abstract: The article focuses on the Renaissance components of the Revival period letters as regards language, folklore, literature. The collections of Bulgarian and Turkish love songs, circulated via both the press and in handwriting, are used as a document for the hubristic impulses and strivings of the separate person towards self-preservation in the everyday life, and as a neglected evidence in the research works on the genesis, development and functioning of the lyric genres during the Bulgarian revival period.
