Summary/Abstract: The article is devoted to the evidence base expansion of the hypothesis about the earthquake as the cause of Byzantine Cherson destruction at the beginning of XI century. Publication of suburb and city necropolis excavations results is involved for the first time as a source of information about this event. The author comes to conclusion, that the appearance of cemeteries with mass burial places of corpses under narthexes of destroyed basilicas «On the hill» and «1932 year» due to sanitary cleaning of the city after the catastrophe. In the early graves under «Basilica of 1935 year» ruins skeletons with traces of fused fractures were found. Perhaps they belong to Cherson residents, who were injured, but survived in the catastrophe of the beginning of XI century.
