THE LITHUANIAN COMPUTER SOCIETY INVOLVEMENT IN PROMOTING THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE INFORMATION SOCIETY IN LITHUANIA

Summary/Abstract: Activities of Lithuanian Computer Society (LIKS) during twenty years after its foundation are presented. The main regulations of Statute and its realization are analysed. The main activities carried out by LIKS in various period and persons ensured LIKS mission are presented. The place of LIKS in context of creating information society in Lithuanian Republic is exposed. The further aims and perspectives of Lithuanian Computer Society are formulated.
