Residents shape the landscape of the city. Spatial and functional aspects of initiatives proposed under Participatory Budget of Wrocław 2013-2014

Summary/Abstract: The article describes the social initiatives proposed and implemented within the framework of Wroclaw Civil Budget for 2013 and 2014. Maps show the distribution of initiatives in the urban space, which allowed the indication of spatial relationships. Analyzed aspects of the spatial and functional reported ideas that can prove their “influence” in the city. Projects submitted and implemented in 2014. Presented in the form of a matrix and analyzed in terms of the nature of the proposed actions in relation to the urban space and the range of their influence. We analyzed the distribution of the proposed investment and of these initiatives in the context of the selected spatial conditions, as well as the needs of residents. We discussed proposals for the activity of the inhabitants and the nature of the dominant projects.
