Summary/Abstract: The authors publish ten documents, eight of them unedited, all written in Romanian and originated from a private collection. The documents, which were written within 200 years, between June 4th, 1634 and February 4th, 1858, are a source of information on various aspects of the history of Moldova: the sale of a land belonging to a monastery, different aspects of urban life in Iaşi (loans and real estate transactions) and of 18th century gypsiesʼ history (sharing the children of the gypsies belonging to different masters), tax exemptions granted to certain priests, agrarian relations in the first half of the 19th century (the generalization of agricultural lands leasing system), procedures followed by the legal authorities in order to resolve certain property disputes, and the importance of old documents necessary to prove the right to own some villages.
