VET Teachers' Views on the In-service Training Needs and Contribution to the Instruction.

Summary/Abstract: The content of this article is a description of the research results. The respondents were teachers of vocational subjects at secondary technical schools in the Prešov and Košice region. The research was focused on continuing education, the need for it, and its contribution to the improvement of teaching. The first part of the article presents the theoretical background on the professional development of teachers, which also includes continuing education and self-education.
