Summary/Abstract: This paper argues against the current wave of examining self-regulated learning. Mentions the extreme emphasis on rationality, lack of knowledge about the internal management of human, but also lack of a sense of identity issues in relation to self-regulation. In conclusion, expressed doubts about the validity of the currently used research tools self-regulated learning.
