Gender Differences of High School Student in the Context of Emotional Experience of the Lesson.

Summary/Abstract: The present study focuses on the gender differences within positive and negative emotional experience of the lesson. Main research aim was to identify gender differences in the various types of emotional experience of students through a modified version of the Emotional experience questionnaire. The research sample consisted of school students from secondary vocational schools in Trencin region. 412 students were enrolled, including 184 boys and 228 girls. Their mean age was 17.11 years. The differences in the various types of emotional survival, we have identified through a modified version of the questionnaire of emotional survival. The questionnaire contains items aimed at positive and negative survival. The original version of the questionnaire contains 36 items, while the modified version contains 30 items (15 positive survival, 15 negative survival). As for the results, girls scored higher than boys in both variables while statistically significant difference was observed in the assessment of negative emotional experience.
