Summary/Abstract: Efficient argumentation can be equally attained through verbal, nonverbal and paraverbal means. Whenever the skilled and skilful rhetorician looks for some immediate and tricky effect on the audience, he employs the above-mentioned means in such a way that even the fallacious discourse may be perceived, by the unexperienced, as valid. The paper draws attention to strategies of the sort as identified in the present-day political discourse.
