Summary/Abstract: The article focuses on the communication tools that can help the mediator to deal with conflicts that the world of every day to submit for its professional unbiased third party. An element of fundamental importance, in fact, the Ombudsman must well know is that its success will depend in large part on the ability to relate with others and the environment, without tactics and manipulation, putting recipients in the state to understand what that means in a precise and direct: all can communicate, but not everyone knows to be understood. The statement, however, a significant number of open questions and thoughts such as: how can you calibrate a different message for each recipient when, for example, the time at our disposal is small? How to find the right communication channel during a meeting?, In practice, how can the impartial third party to mediate its message when the evidence available to it would seem to be insufficient? An element that is of assistance to him and that should allow him to avoid mistakes and be able to consciously understand his interlocutor, his emotional state, his attitude, his motives, is listening. The Mediator will be responsible to pay sufficient attention to process, and aspects of content (information), including the question of source of dispute, that those of the form or report (behavior) of the communication, in order to understand the significance that supports and feeds the position of each in the contest.
