Summary/Abstract: The subject of the research is securitization as one of the most common mechanisms for financing public-private partnershipinfrastructure projects in the world.The aim of the article is to determine the economic essence of the securitization and its role in the implementation ofwidescaleandsocially important projects.The methodological basis of the research is a systematic approach and a system of scientific methodsResults.In article was determined the economic essence of securitization as a mechanism of attracting investment to the publicprivatepartnership projects, the place and the role of participants in the process, prerequisites, advantages and disadvantages,prospects and thefeatures of its implementation in Ukraine. Theproposals of changing the existing procedures of thismechanismrealizationand legislation for stimulate the development of the securitization in Ukraine were defined.Conclusions. The essence, features and the role of securitization in the process of attracting financial resources in thepublicprivatepartnership infrastructure projects were researched, and as a result the necessity ofintroduction this mechanism in Ukrainewas established, but only with the making changesin the existinglegislation and make new bills.
