The phenomena of corruption in the light of the border culture.

Summary/Abstract: The main aim of the article is to present the results of the research which was carried out on the Polish – Belarusian border crossing point. The author focuses on the phenomena of corruption from the point of view of the people who use the crossing on a regular basis. In my opinion the users of the crossing act in accordance with their own culture. The article explains the meaning of corruption in the border reality. The author also presents language and symbols of bribery. Knowledge of the concept of border culture is helpful to understand who and why is exposed to unlawful acts. The research emphasizes the importance of exploring of this new type of culture in order to understand origins of these interesting phenomena.
