Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the main incentive mechanisms of stimulation of foreign direct investment inflow in Ukraine – institutional and legal, organizational and territorial and fiscal – with due regard to its national interests. Current state of these mechanisms implementation in Ukraine, including legislation on FDI, institutional support, aspects of functioning of the territories with special investment regime, certain tax and financial instruments of FDI stimulation are also analysed. The world's leading practice of using these mechanisms to encourage FDI are considered. Recommendations for improving the use of these mechanisms based on national economic interests and economic security of Ukraine are formed. In particular, suggestions on improvement of investment legislation, legislation on privatization, institutional support, on operation of SEZs, PDA, science, technological and industrial parks, as well as on implementation of certain tax and financial instruments of FDI stimulation are given. Results of this research will contribute to further improvement of the investment strategy of FDI attraction. Theoretical and methodological basis of research was a set of principles and methods of scientific research, general scientific (principle of classification, grouping, generalization and formalization) and special (systemic and structural and comparative analysis) methods, which use is the purpose of the study.
