Summary/Abstract: Every day in the terrorist attacks around the world dozens of people are killed and hundreds are injured, terrorism continues to be one of the greatest threats in the world. Mainstream scientific centers in Poland are constantly seeking comprehensive solutions in many areas of life that can help to reduce the threat of terrorism, both in Europe and on other continents. Creating an effective security system, however, requires an accurate diagnosis of the level of terrorist threat. Many experts dealing with terrorist states that the diagnosis of terrorist threats should relate only to those factors that are the direct cause of the phenomenon. Authors points in it, the objective and subjective factors which should be taken into account, making a diagnosis of the terrorist threat in Poland. The paper discusses these issues in a concise, provoking a discussion on the problems associated with the construction of an anti-terrorist system in our country. The publication has also shown anti-terrorism areas of the system that need to be continually improve to ensure the security of citizens to an acceptable level.
