Summary/Abstract: Our study analyzes in the hermeneutic perspective the archeology of the formulation in the works of Pascal Quignard in both senses of discourse on the origin and from the origin of words. The return to Latin and Greek sources of words is a constant style of the writer. We analyze the etymological explanations offered by Quignard while following surprising metamorphosis of the meaning of words. Everything in this multifaceted work refers to the cultural erudition of the author who employs hindsight knowledge.
