Summary/Abstract: The subject of research is the peculiarities of the development of intellectual property in the context of the globalization influence on the world economy. The purpose of scientific problem is to consider the conceptual foundations of economics of intellectual property in the context of globalization. Methods of research. The methods of abstraction, analysis and synthesis, systematization and generalization are used for definition the conceptual apparatus and the content of the assessment, foundation criteria and indices, classification directions and methods of assessment. Methodology work. The main principles of the economic theory in economics of intellectual property; the works of domestic and foreign scientists and practitioners in this field. Results of work. In the context of the determined problem we have tried to consider the conceptual foundations of economics of intellectual property in the context of globalization. Practical implications. The results of this study can be used in the study of problems of intellectual property and the economics of intellectual property. Conclusions. Thus, we can affirm that, today, in conditions of building a new economy, innovation is the motive force, and source and resource of social development, increasing national wealth – knowledge, education, professional and science. Developed countries, newly industrialized countries are interested in a high level of protection of intellectual property rights, effective mechanism commercialization of intellectual activity in order to improve its competitiveness, and recovery of investment activity and increased exports of high technology products.
