The Signs of Post-communism in the Attitudes of Local Political Actors in Chojnice

Summary/Abstract: This study discusses the signs of post-communism in the behaviour of local political actors. Twenty-five years after the fall of the Iron Curtain in Poland, there are still many indicators showing analogies between today’s socio-political scene and the previous communist rule. The author claims that post-communism is still present in local communities in Poland, and it may be a barrier to the consolidation of local democracy.
