Summary/Abstract: Even today, the peculiar dialectical forms preserve eternalized features, which represent a crucial data resource for the History of Albanian Language. The existing resemblance, as well as the appearance of similar phenomena in these two dialects has been previously called to attention as an object of study by various scholars such as: M. La Piana, J. Rrota, G. Petrotta, G. Meyer, N. Jokli. Thereafter, the issue was reconsidered by E. Çabej, Sh. Demiraj, K. Topalli etc. This study attempts to depict some corresponding linguistic particualirities of the first book in Albanian language to the dialectical forms used in Gjirokastra town, owing to the greater number of similar archaic features of the two dialects noticed in the book “Missale” of Gj. Buzuku, amid old texts. At first sight, it seems that the dialect of Gjirokastra and that one used by Buzuku in his “Missale” are distant in space and time, also they seem as they exceedingly belong to two distinct dialects. However, based on our observations, many similarities between old linguistic features of Tosk dialect in Gjirokastra and that one of geg region are present to the first Albanian book “Missale”. In the other hand, although these old linguistic features of Gjirokastra town, found in Buzku’s book, are still identifiable in the old generation, they are slowly fading away.
