Summary/Abstract: The following article relates to practising the didactics of multilingualism in teaching German as the second foreign language after English as the first foreign language. In the theoretic part an attempt was made to define a concept of multilingualism and to present the psycholinguistic background of the didactics of multilingualism. In addition, the tenets of the DaFnE concept that pertains to the above language constellation were presented. The practical part refers to an empirical study that was conducted among teachers of German in the area of Trójmiasto. The aim of the study was to investigate if and in which fields teachers of German practise the didactics of multilingualism using their knowledge of English, as well as their pupils’ command of this language.
