APPROACHES TO LITERATURE IN “STUDIME FILOLOGJIKE” (PHILOLOGICAL STUDIES) JOURNAL

Summary/Abstract: Studies on literature are an important part of the scientific activity published in the journal “Studime filologjike” (Philosophical Studies). Represented with only one article in the first two years (1964, 1965), the importance and the quality of the literary studies have gradually risen. The literary studies have tried to cover all the periods of the literature development, and of course, to express the general features of the Albanian scientific opinion in different periods during 50 years. In the years 1965-1990 the literature studies were seen as areas through which the ideology of that time was to be expressed and fulfilled. The ranking of the articles and their themes were closely related to the official political documents. As suggested in these documents, everything began from the socialist reality represented in the literary works, i.e. from the actuality. This was in the theoretical point of view - explaining in light of the ideology how should the literary works be interpreted - and in the practical aspect, which was related to contemporary literature studies, which preceded the studies on the authors of the tradition.
