Summary/Abstract: Linguistic geography of Transylvania. The dialectal structure of Daco-Romanian, the causes and the age of the dialectal area is an issue which has preoccupied Romanian and foreign scholars for more than a century. The subdialect with the greatest number of features is the subdialect in Banat, and the one with the fewest is the Wallachian subdialect, the latter being also the closest to the standard language.
