An attempt to apply Lean principles and practices to Scrum

Summary/Abstract: A comparison is performed between the Lean and Scrum methodologies. Similarities and differences are articulated. Based on these results we propose how to apply seven Lean practices to Scrum, aiming at some improvement of the whole software production process. The results of a survey of 13 questions about this proposal among 73 software engineers are analyzed and commented.
